Default Cohens multivitamin

Hi everyone
What is the deal with taking multivitamins on Cohens? What are the pro's/con's of taking/not taking them? Im currently only using flaxseed oil capsules. What exact multivitamins do I need to take? Thank you - getting started so figuring this all out

Hi Robyn,

My clinic recommended I take 2 "Blackmores sustained-release Miltivitamin + Antioxidents" tablets. My consultant said I shoudl take 1 in the morning and 1 at lunch. Plus to also take a flaxseed or fish oil cap each day.

I think because the intake is low then we need the multivitamin to ensure we are getting enough of the nutrients etc that we need. I have heard of people losing a lot of hair later on through their journey, I also lost some hair, and I think maybe taking the multi may help with minimising that...? Also I did chat to one person who was not taking them and they were struggling with lack of energy... not sure if the vitamins make a difference or not but I take 2 per day.

Hope this helps

Allie

Cohen's is generally a very well rounded program - low carb, low sugar, low fat, portion control, moderate fasting (overnight) etc but it is also low calorie so a good multi-vitamin/antioxidant blend is essential to ensure the nutrient levels you needs while also losing weight. Make sure you use a reputable brand that use minimal fillers! Blackmores is most often recommended because they don't cost the earth (like Swisse) and you get decent product quality.
