Question So many people are trying to tell me not to do Cohens

Did that happen to you guys? Did anyone try and talk you out of it?

It's like they have googled bad reviews cohens and are just showing me those! Saying hair loss, weight gain etc etc.

It scares me!

Anyone else have that and then thought stuff it I'll join and prove them wrong?!

No body really gave a damn when I was fat, now everybody is a critic..I feel fantastic. I actually made a point to keep the journey mainly between here, on the forum and with one close friend. People are kill joys. If you loose 10 kg's, they will laugh and scoff that they can't see it. Say rude things like exaggerated " Realllly" See your portion sizes and make sarcastic jokes. People are so rude these days. Haughty, arrogant and full of them selves.

At the end of the day, you are in control of your life. Do with it what you think is best. Cohen's plan is rapid fat loss. Follow the rules and you will get to goal. The maintaining is all up to the individual. So many do put weight back on because they want the rapid weight loss AND to go back to their old way of life after. It doesn't work or we never would of got obese to begin with That is where the Life style comes in...to make changes for the better...Good luck ....

Yip i had people telling me it was a scam and a waste of money and that the way to lose weight is exersize and eat lots every 2 hours. Everyone doubts i can do this. Well for the last 2 years i had tried all those kinds of diets and me and exersize arent friends.
Cohens works for sure. I just posted up on my facebook ' day 30 deviation free 8kg gone' and everyone was gobsmacked and not asking me anymore about it. I think they are probably going on diets now too !

But that isnt to say some people cant also lose 10kg by following other programs that involve exersize and eating 'clean'. There is this Ashy Bines thing going around and my friend lost 10kg on that in 3 months but i have 10 x 3 to lose so therefore Cohens suits me.
Also Cohens has extra pro's like hormone balance / more likely to concieve / skin improved/ and it is overall just a good way to learn how to live normally
Cohens has taught me i dont need to cook with cream, butter and sauces - i never knew that ! I can see myself making ' strict cohens' type food at least 4 times a week even a few years down the track. I have been on weight watchers and sureslim and this is the best tasting food so far and the discipline gives me boundaries

This is exactly why I told no one.

I was sooooooooooo skeptical when I first heard about Cohens!! I stalked this forum for a year!!!!!!!!!! The proof is in the proverbial pudding!!! Look at us!! We are losing weight. We all aren't just one person typing these posts!! hahaha.

After I looked at so many before and afters here, I was sold! These are real people and real results.

I also checked other forums and it was Americans and I saw their results too!! This is like a well kept secret!!

The program isn't some magic pill, you do have to put it some effort. I love that it's real food, no pills or shakes... Just good honest food.

There can be side effects, but I can guarantee I had more health issues when I was 114.2 kgs!!!

People might have good intentions, but if you feel like you can handle the program (weighing food, keeping to timing, etc), do it! It's not them doing it, it's you!!! You're the one who wants to be slim, healthy and happy, right??!!!

I'm one of those people who gained weight after Cohen's but it's because I let my stresses get the better of me and didn't stick to the guidelines. The good news is that I just gained half of the weight back and I have the tools to lose it again if I want to.

You can allow people to scare you but this is the only "diet" that gets results.

you know people will always have something to say about everything, their remarks are normally not to build but rather to make you feel bad like when you are over weight you are given nasty comments that you need to loose the weight , then you join cohen you loose weight then you start hearing thats a crash diet , all that weight will be back plus more so my advice to you is do what you want and do your own research.

I for one knew about the diet from a former coleague and unfortunately she struggled with maintanance and gained some weight but she is still beautifull, so i even though she failed i still joined the diet because my story hasnt been written yet and I can't be destined to fail before i even start and i cant measure my own strength with others!

Yep, I am the same. The obsessive compulsive in me just LOVES a regimented plan- I need to be told what to eat and when and therefore all the thinking is done for me

What really bugs me is the calories in vs calories out argument. I have always been a good exerciser and always ate wholesome foods, high carbs yes (16kj per gram) and low fat (37kj per gram) but the human body is waaaaay more complex then that and I think hormones play a MASSIVE part in how we gain weight and how we even exist in the world.

My partner is sceptical, he has done the google research and the 'reviews' aren't positive. However I KNOW this works and more than anything, the proof is in the fact that yes, I am eating less food than my 2 year old right now but I don't feel hungry. How is that possible? My hormones are balancing so that they are not telling my brain to eat the French stick, eat the banana bread, eat the bloody cow. I may not have lost a noticeable amount yet but I FEEL the difference. That is all I need

Do it for yourself, not for other people. I have been in maintenance now for 14 months and 2 kgs above my "happy" weight so not everyone puts it all back on (trying to lose those two pesty kgs at the mo) It's not easy but if it was, there would be no obese people. The healthy eating patterns we learn and knowing what/when we are eating ie reading labels have certainly been a huge positive for starting Cohens and if life ever serves me a strong curve ball, I wouldn't hesitate making Cohens my number 1 choice.

I know if I had not seen the results of friends who completed Cohen's first in person I would have been sceptical too. I read the bad reviews online but in the end I chose to try it because I had never seen such great results for people before.

Now I am almost one month in and it feels really good and some people have started to notice changes. I can't wait for 6 months time not so I can eat other food - but so I can continue living and maintaining a new me!

I find out my true friends when I lose weight.

It's interesting how many people snigger behind my back 'wonder when she will put it back on'. Considering I have been 29kgs lighter now since October 2013, and have watched the multitude of WW worshippers lose just as much but have put most back on since, I wonder who the real winner is???

And as for negativity about cohens online/googling, I STRUGGLED to find much in the way of general opinion when I was trying to find a reason not to do it myself! I found one or two people online having a moan, but they hadn't stuck to it 100% and when they finished the plan they fell back into old habits - NO ONE will keep weight off going back to their old habits, no matter what diet they choose.

Interestingly, I did find a lot of negativity about WW and JennyC, mostly about weight gain after the diet as there were no real guidelines on how to MAINTAIN... and also more interestingly a lot on cholesterol levels being higher after they had lost heaps of weight and stuck to these diets for about a year - interesting much??

I knew someone who'd done the program, she lost a huge amount but has put it back on. I believe you only put it on if you stop eating correctly. Of course you will gain if you go back to eating the crap you ate when you were fat!!! I've done WW, got to goal, then fell off the wagon, conformed to what everyone else wanted when we ate out. I know my husband will think I'm one of "thoes people" from now on when we eat out. One of the annoying people that order their meal minus everything. Too bad! This time I have my head right and I know I will continue to eat well.
I had already given up caffeine, dairy, grains and was trying to quit everything processed when I started Cohens.Chocolate was the last thing to give up- hellooooo Chromium
I didnt read the reviews, I wanted to do it because I heard it was good for people with PCOS (I have this). I managed to have 2 kids and I had considered it more of a fertillity problem than a lifelong problem.
And I didn't tell anyone what I was doing untill I knew it was working.
Loving Cohen!!!!!
